Using the menu bar above, you can read about the recreated 2nd Albany (a militia group from Schenectady that was active during the American Revolutionary War). As part of the BVMA (Burning of the Valleys Military Association), we strive to recreate the look and feel of a militia company serving the cause of Liberty in upstate New York.
Using available research, we cloth and equip ourselves to look the part of 18th century townspeople, campfollowers and militia. We practice period military drill so that we may accurately portray skirmishes and battles of the time. We hope that you enjoy your visit to our site and develop an appreciation for those who risked all to defy their King and fight for freedom.
