This site was created and is owned by the 2nd Albany, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to recreating the real 2nd Albany, which served during the American Revolutionary War. This site was created and is maintained to educate the public about a little known and often maligned group during the Revolutionary War, the militia. We hope that this site, and our efforts to recreate the 2nd Albany, serve to show people the important roll of the militia during that conflict.
